Laser-sintered components made from polyamide 12 white (PA2200) have balanced material properties, and are ideally suited for functional components of all kinds. The material PA12 is characterized by its high strength and rigidity, as well as its chemical resistance and good post-processability. SLS 3D printed components made from PA12, chemically smoothed after the printing process, are 100% watertight under pressure and have a surface finish on par with injection molded parts. The material is also biocompatible in accordance with EN ISO 10993-1, and USP/level VI/121 °C and certified for food contact compliant with the EU Plastics Directive 2002/72/EC (excluding highly alcoholic beverages).
